BRAND NEW! Disability Information Video Resources for Chinese and Korean Communities
On 16 November, Disability Connect hosted the launch of the new Video Resources to help parents navigate the disability sector. This resource production is the outcome of collaboration between Disability Connect, the Korean Community Wellness Society, Waitemata DHB Child Development Service and the Northern Regional Alliance.
The videos are produced with English subtitles, Korean subtitles and Simplified Chinese subtitles. The series of video clips are based on Disability Connect’s immensely popular Disability Support Guide with additional information about Special Education.
The series of short video clips explain the New Zealand disability sector and the supports families may be eligible for. It also explains the roles of the various ministries and organisations involved in the disability sector including Ministries of Health, Education, Social Development, Work & Income, CYFs (now Social Ministry for Vulnerable Children, Oranga Tamariki, MVCOT) and Non-Government Organisations.
