Refugee Health Service [ARPHS] [Auckland Region]


ARPHS Refugee Health Service provides a medical screening and referral service for quota refugees on arrival at the Mangere Refugee Resettlement Centre (MRRC); as well as for asylum seekers detained at the Centre. ARPHS also provides information, education, communicable diseases control, health prevention and health promotion for the new arrivals.

  • The service also provides medical screening for those asylum seekers not detained and living in the community.
  • ARPHS Refugee Health Service works in partnership with many health providers and communities to provide culturally appropriate and acceptable care.
