Connect Supporting Recovery is a mental health non-governmental organisation which has an Asian support team covering 15 Asian languages including: Hindi, Japanese, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese and Japanese.

Connect Supporting Recovery, offers a wide range of services to people experiencing mental health and addictions issues including attaining goals in employment and accommodation.

Services are organised into ten teams: Community Support, including Asian and Family/Whanau support specialist sub-teams; the residential Beachhaven Rehabilitation Service; Poutama Dual Diagnosis Service; Abeo House Residential Service: Waatea Residential Service (Hamilton:) EDGE Employment; Reach Out Peer Support; Mahi Marumaru AOD Peer Support Service and Housing Facilitation.

Asian Support

  • We have a team of multi-lingual, culturally-sensitive people who specifically support Asian people experiencing mental ill health whose English language skills are limited.

  • Whether newly resident or not we can help you feel part of the community and benefit from other services and agencies.

Unstress offers practical tools to recognise and manage stress.

Employment Support helps people set goals in line with their career hopes and dreams and includes individual help in finding work experience and preparing for applications and interviews.
