RASNZ online and face-to-face training for service providers and community groups

As part of supporting the co-providers to provide responsive and culturally appropriate care for former refugees, the Refugee as Survivors NZ (RASNZ) is delivering face-to-face or webinar training for service providers and community groups in health and other sectors on a fee for service.

The content includes:

  • the refugee journey
  • support systems
  • application of a cross-cultural trauma informed model
  • the impact of trauma
  • intercultural competency
  • acculturation and integration issues
  • recognising the signs of trauma, depression and anxiety
  • cultural responses to health and mental health issues.
