Final list of the refugee settlement service providers for the thirteen refugee settlement locations | Immigration New Zealand

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) contracts community-based providers to deliver settlement support services to quota refugees following their arrival in settlement locations around the country. There are refugee thirteen resettlement locations in New Zealand.

Earlier in May, INZ announced the five providers for the refugee settlement locations in Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, Ashburton and Timaru.

The recent announcement in June informs us that New Zealand Red Cross will continue providing services to refugees settling in Palmerston North, Levin, Masterton, Wellington, Nelson, Blenheim, Dunedin, and Invercargill. 

All the new refugee settlement service contracts will commence on 1st July 2022.

The following is the final list of refugee settlement providers:

  • Auckland – Kahui Tu Kaha
  • Ashburton – Safer Mid Canterbury
  • Blenheim - NZ Red Cross
  • Christchurch – Purapura Whetu Trust
  • Dunedin – NZ Red Cross
  • Hamilton – Hamilton Multicultural Services Trust
  • Invercargill - NZ Red Cross
  • Levin – NZ Red Cross
  • Masterton – NZ Red Cross
  • Nelson - NZ Red Cross
  • Palmerston North - NZ Red Cross
  • Timaru – Presbyterian Support South Canterbury
  • Wellington - NZ Red Cross
